Ok more tattoo infomation, don't get hurt if you have one. If you look at the statistics if you have a tattoo and end up in the hospital you are more then likly going to be the last person anybody looks at, why because if you have visable tattoo's then you are thrown in the eyes of most doctors in the lower class non insured variety. (not kidding about this one )

As for women my ex had a tattoo on her lower back, she though you could never see it, but her shirt used to ride up quite a bit sometimes and it was highly visable. It hurts but only for a short time, The lower back is the best region I would say for someone who really wants a tattoo for personal rememberence.

As for me no tattoo's yet, I will be getting one soon, I promised to myself that when I get my pHD I would get a rememberence band of the friends I have lost, my buddy had one before he died on his back.

It's also a very good idea to have the artwork you want, actual size, on a piece of paper when you go to the parlor. The artist should be able to trace it directly onto your body, so there is less chance of you getting something you don't want. Have an artistically inclined friend help you out on this one.

Good luck!

Not true. The order you are seen in the hospital is based on the severity of your illness/injury. Tattoos are so common these days doctors will not think that you're uninsured if you have one.

Asian woman with tatoo....Ohhhh, sexy!!

Huh? That has to be one of the oddest statements I have ever heard. First off, when you go to a hospital emergency room, and it's not life threatening you fill out forms, and see a receptionist or nurse way before you ever see a doctor. So your telling me somewhere on those forms. The nurse/receptionist marks down tattoo no insurance? Ridiculous, when you get there and fill out the forms they ask you if you have insurance and make a copy of it.

If you're going in for a life threatening situation, you're telling me the doctor looks at you and says "damn this guy is going to die, but hey he has a tattoo so he's probably some low class bum with no insurance and no one is going to miss him anyway, so I won't even bother."

Come on now, which fantasy land hospital have you been to?

I know a lot of folks don't trust Doctors (hell, I hate going to a doctor and I'm engaged to one). But, lets not just spew out anything we want because it sounds good in your head, think it through first.

I look at all the girls these days getting tattoos all over and think . . . One day she will likely become more financially well-to-do (either on her own or by marriage) and start going to fancy dinners / events. She will probably want to wear low-cut, sexy dresses. She will look stupid.

My girlfriend has a tattoo on her pelvis and regrets it.

I have three tattoos and dont regret a single one of them. I knew what I wanted and where I wanted it long before I got them. You only live once so I say go for it and if ten years down the road you regret it, get it taken off. I love my tats and I really dont care what others say. Hell Bondgurl let me know when you want to do it and we will go to Tiggers and then celebrate!!!!
