They can do what is called a "chargeback" to your card. If the company is reputable, they may have already charged back your credit card and your credit card company will be able to tell you if so.

As others have said, explain the situation to your credit card company and they may give you credit. Some credit cards have insurance up to a certain limit.

I have a debit card from Bank of America which was used and defrauded and B of A credited me the money that was lost and they went after the people who stole the money from me through their fraud investigation department.

Yes, you have 6 months to make a chargeback claim. Don't worry man, the credit card company fights everything for you and will investigate. In the mean time they'll probably take the charge off your account. That's why it's good to buy online with Credit Cards....they'll protect you.

Yes, your credit card company will credit back the money since nothing has been shipped to you. I had this problem with a shady NY electronics store that charged my credit card, but still hadn't shipped my receiver a month later. I called Discover and they took the charge off of my account. Most credit card companies will be very helpful in a situation like this and it's why you should use credit cards whenever possible.
