Default The importance of this board and its members

i've been a member since day one, and i must say that this board and its members play a rather important role in my life at this time. although some may dismiss this, but i think the community and the friends (i consider most everyone here a friend) i've met and talked to have given me a great sense of belonging, mental support, and a venue to rant and vent throughout the past year and half or so. my wife hardly understands it, but perhaps the reason why i've remained sane and relatively happy throughout the ordeals i've been through the past 8 months is because of the support i've received from you guys. though some people may hardly qualify people they've never met in person as friends, i feel as if i have a wealth of friends all over the world. and those whom i've met in SoCal, NorCal, Seattle, Texas, and Georgia are IMO some of the coolest and friendliest people i've met.

just wanted to say thank you to the community and C3 for providing the community grounds

good night.

So does that mean we can all come for tea? Seriously, the internet can be a very impersonal place and can easily be taken for a surreal environment but having talked to you here and having done business with you and shared in your personal issues, idiosyncrocies, this place becomes a little more real. You have provided many of us a focal point by which we can find some relevence. Thank you for giving me the chance to reciprocate. (Did any of that make any sense?)

Mingster,
You're a huge part of this board and we appreciate all that you bring to it. Discussing cars, our beloved S2000's and even personal stories with a great group of people we all feel we have something in common with, is what it's all about.
We're all fortunate to have S2000's and realizing this is what makes this board great.

I've thought of this too, this place is a real community. Things otherwise wouldn't be the same.

I agree with Richard, I have met and spoken with some great people on this site (both in person and 'on-line') and think of them as good friends.
The community has a good balance of thoughts, opinions and personalities. A big pat on the back for the moderators are in order, they have a thankless task which they do rather well.

I agree also! Other than my existing base of old friends & college friends, this has been a great way to meet a lot of diverse people. It's not often something inanimate (that is, when the engine's off) can instill instant comraderie like I see on here. See ya at dinner tomorrow night Mingster!

That was very well said Richard. I have been trying to come up with the right words to describe this place but you did it for me. I too enjoy visiting everyone here it helps me clear my head and get me through what is a difficult time for me and my family now.
