Income Tax Question
I'm claiming my in-laws, who are living with my wife and I, on my taxes. The question is, they have ZERO income (that's why they're here), do they need to file taxes?
See here http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p17.pdf
See chapter 1, Table 1-1 etc on page 7 of chapter 1 (shows up as page 9 of 322 in acrobat reader). You'll have to read the whole chapter to figure it out, but it seems to have what you need.

Thanks DiamondDave! I've read through it and looks like they DON'T need to file:
1. They are under age of 65.
2. They are not getting any SS.
3. They did not have any income in 2004.
But since IRS said it's a good idea to file anyways, I'll have them do a 1040EZ...
Any other suggestions?
