Inheritance money!! - advice needed
Actually these "finders' serve a need. But usually it is long lost bank accounts or stocks they recover. And they don't give you enough info to know where to look. Just telling you it was your uncle was a mistake. If your sister and aunt know where to find you, you should have eventually gotten your share. I would thank him kindly for bringing it to your attention, and then go get an estate attorney, or ask your aunt who the executor is, and contact them. The executors job is to make sure all taxes (if any) are paid before you get your money, which should then be tax free to you, except for interest or dividends earned while being held for you.
