Default Insurance

I am 16 years old and I have been looking forward to getting my license for a long time. When I got the chance to I was faced with the fact that insurance for me alone was $1200 a half. I was wondering if abyone out there has any advice on how I could get a cheaper amount.

Thanks

Call around to every agency you can if you haven't already. If you get your own car you can register it in your parents name or somebody older who you can trust and have yourself listed as a driver. Good luck.

ya, don't list yourself as the primary driver, always secondary driver, you took driving school I presume? A certified driving school would lower insurance, and of course the type of car will play a big role in how much insurance will cost... you'll probably have to go with your parents' agency as far as insurance companies go...

go under your parents' policy and get insured on the cheapest vehicle and "use for school purposes only."
