Thumbs up Interesting Question *****

Many of you probably have heard about secret societies like the Free Masons and have heard terms such as "New World Order" and "Illuminati"

It has been said that many of our founding fathers are apart of such under ground orginazations, also that they have hidden agendas and they secretly advertise their existance.

Many believe that their goal is a one world government or "New World Order" and that the "Illuminati" also known as the "Enlightend Ones" are people that influence world wide events.

I read a book called " Behold a Pale Horse" By William H. Cooper and found it to be quite interesting as it talks about these secret societies, their history, and their motives.

I was wondering if anyone here had any thoughts on this that they wanted to share.

Not trying to spark a heated debate so lets keep it on topic please!

a close friend of mine is a mason. he never talks about it around us eventhough he goes to the meetings at least once (maybe twice) a month. i did evesdrop in on a conversation he had with another friend of mine, the other night while we were out, and all he really said was that if anything bad happens to him, "his family is taken care of." that's the most in depth thing i heard from what he said. other than that he was so vague on what he was saying that it almost makes you want to join just so you can get to the bottom of what he's saying

oh, actually i do remember one more thing he said. he said many social figures are in the masons. (business owners, politicians, etc). he was making it sound like a melting pot of different people you can meet and interact with. i know there is more than just that to it though, i just don't know "what"

that may not help to much, but hey

I believe that Yale has the Skull and Bones society, which George W. was a part of. I know there are a lot of movies and conspiracy theories about these kinds of organizations, but I think they're benevolent groups in general.

George Bush Sr, George W. Bush, and John Kerry are all Skulls... many of the people Bush appointed to positions after becoming president are Skulls as well... I could get a list together if you'd like

Its more the other way around... For about 300 years, the Catholic church has forbidden its members to become Freemasons. If you do, you aren't allowed to recieve communion.

Yes.

But I have no idea if they have specific goals and are working towards them, or if they're just a sort of fraternities to help out fellow members.

I've been told the same. Except my understanding is that the Masons aren't atheist, but rather don't believe in organized religion.

Damn, It's been a while since I had read that book. I might pull it out and read it again. I remember a friend telling me to only purchase the book with cash.
