I was watching Speed Vision the other day when they had a show on the new Lexus convertible. Oh my god is the interior of that car incredible! From the wood and leather to the Mark Levinson stereo and well designed GPS. This is a piece of art. I don't think I have ever seen nicer on a car of this ilk. Simply awesome. The mechanism for the hardtop retraction is also very cool.

At the end they pitted it against the IS300 on the track. Nothing exceptional there.

I saw one driving over the weekend. My head only snapped because I knew what it was. I don't think it would have done so otherwise.

 

It's a beautiful car.
I love it inside out.
If it could also be fun to drive, then it would be all set.
too bad...

 

The Lexus convertible is just what you would expect from a lexus convertable...

It will look really pimp, nice quality, but not going to tear up the road on a track.

 

and i have even ridden in the back seat... if you can call it that!! with the front moved up, i actually was able to fit to ride to the airport- 10 minute ride, and that was enough.

The interior is badass in the new Lexus...but put the top down and VOILA! ... you have NO trunk space! Just like the SLK and others...kinda makes packing difficult for those weekend get-aways that convertibles are so perfect for...
