You should try checking out Bushmaster. They have a nice rifle called "Varminter" that's really nice.

 

Building AR-15's can be fun. It would be my choice over a Ruger mini

 

Where you looking for militray ordanance? If so Vektor, Fn Herstal, and Steyr make some fun stuff. Not U.S. made but some fun stuff.

I am currently in the market for WW2 arms. Especially the German Kar98 and the Springfield rifle. In the future of course I want an M1 Garand but not right now. My best buddy just picked up a Mosin Ngant Russian WW2 bolt action rifle. His was manufactured circa 1942 and most likely saw action in WW2 or the Korean war. I suggest these because not only are bolt action rifles fun, but to sit and imagine the stories your rifle could tell if it could speak. I am acutally going to look at another gun shop today for a German Kar98, I hope to get one! Anyone know of places to buy WW2 arms??
