Japan seems to be getting violent..
Maybe I need to stop watching anime
Crimes by lil kids cutting off heads, slitting throats. and thousands of teenage girls doing voluntairy prostitution to buy clothes and hand bags. Thought the society was prettty disciplined but the past 13 years of econominc unstaibility probably took its toll on the family.
Kind of a sad read at the end for the dad who lost his wife and now daughter

you put too many rats in a cage, and let them get hungry, they turn on each other.
That girl just has psychological psychosis and mental delusions. She didn't even realize that she had killed her friend, and expected her to come back from death like in video games and anime.
Japan's violence is increasing, but it's still light-years behind the levels of violence in the U.S. and other countries. What would one expect? The world becomes more and more violent as days go by.
From reading that article, I've just learned that Japan's economy is the second-largest in the world, behind the U.S. I had always thought it was China.
Good read, Silver!!!
indeed.Prostitution in Japan isn't new. I find the use of the word "voluntary" to be curious, are they implying the prostitution that has existed before was forced?
According to a show on one of the educational channels a while ago, it has become socially acceptable in Japan for a woman to take multiple "boyfriends" who pay her and buy her gifts. That sounds like prostitution to me, but the show made it sound like a natural outgrowth of the dense population, recessionist economy and repressive social structure.
