Japanese Art for Tattoo
hey guys,
looking to finish up the sleeve on my arm and wanted bring everything together with a large image. i want to connect the Coy fish on my forearm to my name in Kanji on my back. I was thinking of using a large dragon... But they are so played out. that or a long Oni. If anyone has any ideas or places of art online. that would be great. I'll post some pics up after this weekend. will probably do it then.

Will,
I would still stay with the dragon. It goes with the Dragon/Koi story.
The story goes something like this:
The legend is that when a koi has succeeded in climbing over the cataracts in the Dragon Gate of the Yangtse it finds its reward by being transformed into a dragon, with which goes a grant of immortality.
That's why sometimes you see the head of a dragon with a body of a koi. That is part of it's transformation.
plus I don't know if you are going to do more. Like a body suit, back piece, or so on. It's usually good to say with one motif.
But either way, take some pics after your done. I'd like to see how it turns out. I'm in the process of getting my ribs finished. But will also be getting my calfs completely done along with my back (I already have the top of my back done) and probably two 1/4 sleeves.

Sweet story, I'll have to look into that one. If so... I'll probably go with the dragon coming out of my forearm rising to my shoulder. thanks. Nandska

I'm surprised that I have both sides done. The one that hurt the most for me is the one right above my knee. When he was tattooing close to my inner thigh.
Definitely post some pics. As soon as I finish getting the backround on my ribs, I'll post some pics also.
