Its a union thing. I am not sure the gas pumpers are all unionized but there was time where there was a union for gas pumpers and they had the legislature make it impossible for their jobs to be eliminated.

Are you sure NH is the same way? I thought NJ and Oregon were the only states.

I think you are right... My bad. It was Oregon and NJ... I dont know why I put NH.. Maybe it used to be that way back in the day

I have actually pumped my own gas in NJ. It seems that they will allow you to pump your own gas if you're on a motorcycle or even filling a gas can for a race car.

I've started pumping my gas before just because the attendant didn't come out for some time. It's not like there's security detail at every pump.

I've been to Avalon and Cape May quite a few times while dating a chick from Philly. It's a blast, but reminds me of Cancun circa 1999. Lots of fist pumping.
