it'd be difficult for most of us to attend an event in Chicago.
so, most of us are "not with you". You may want to post the same in the regional forum.
FWIW, I signed up for the "Death Ride" in Norcal if you're interested

Looking into doing the one down in Texas. Heard this was awesome, we have many runs like this (Mud run, jail break) but this is supposed to be the best.

I'm doing the one in Manchester, Tn. We have a race like this locally but it doesn't seem as extreme.

friends of mine said the warrior dash was weak. lots of bottlenecks, obstacles were too easy, not challenging at all.

they went to the event in lakeland, fl the other weekend.

I wouldn't mind flying out for the chicago marathon. Is there a 'wow factor' of this race?

I mean...I did the Indianapolis half marathon just for the sake of running a lap around Indianapolis Motor Speedway. That was worth the trip.

There needs to be a 'wow factor' for me to spend the money to travel...like a lap on wrigley field, soldier field, etc. Something to tell stories about...i can run 26 around Philadelphia suburbs for free.

Make it a big s2000 meet and I'll drive out.

I did Warrior Dash in Nor Cal last year and it was pretty fun. Try to get a big group going and remember to dress up and paint your faces.

My "wow" factor is spending some time in Chicago after the marathon and getting a qualifying time for the New York Marathon and a qualifying race for an Ironman Triathlon.

I have two of my friends signed up to run the warrior with me but no one want's to do the 26.2 miler with me...go figure.
