Trying to add a graphic pic to my profile. Why do I know this won't work!

Double check to see if you have typed in the correct address between the [img]s

Speed 2000. Thanks for your suggestion, but I cut the address from my profile, pasted it into a new address window, and it displayed perfectly.

I see the pic eventually dispayed O.K. here. I wonder if the reason it takes so long to display is because the resolution is too high. It's 205 x 110 pixels. Maybe too much. I'll hang in there for a while and see if it continues to be slow loading. Thanks.

Well that's wierd! I tried the URL you used just on it's own and it asked if I want to save or open???? Unusual for a jpg. So I selected open and it showed your pic. Then I closed that window and went back to this topic and your pics are there!!!!!

Go figure

What's weirder still is I posted my message above and they are gone again. That server has probs dude. It's likely not reporting the correct MIME type , ie. it's not telling my browser it's a JPEG but some other file type. It may be UNIX and not have .jpg as an extention for a JPEG but perhaps only .jpeg or it's mime.types file is whacked and doesn't have an entry for JPEG at all.

Thanks for the info guys. I can see the pic now, but it's not consistent. I'm now trying it with a different name, and saved as a gif file.
