I don't have many keys. I have the s2k key, a speedpass, unbrakeable autolock key, keyless entry remote, and a little honda s2000 thing on my keychain.

Here's a little tidbit for you all:

On my Prelude....I had some ignition switch problems (fixed under warranty). I USED to carry alot of keys and stuff on my car keychain.

I was told that the weight of the keys on the keychain would create a pendulumn on the ignition (which is pretty weak) and ruin the internal workings (I'm guessing the tumblers) of the ignition switch.....(and it has been repeated by many others).

Is there truth to this? The Prelude is a '94 and the S2000 is a '00. Could there be a redesign in our cars?

I have my S2K key and remote, office key, house key and Lexus RX300 key (which is also a remote)

The Lexus manual says to not have two keys with chips next to each other, or the car might not start. I haven't seen the problem yet. Has anyone else? It also said that if the key ring is sitting on top of the key in the ignition, the car may not start.

I'm a minimalist: Car, home, work, and mailbox keys and a Speedpass.

I quit carrying the remote since I always have the top down. I don't even lock it with the top up since I'd rather not get my top sliced.

Can't stand keys. One key and remote on one set. House keys on another that hangs from my belt using one of those mountain climber thingys. Another keyring with the company keys (lots) that hardly ever leaves my briefcaase. Oh yea the wifes car key, motorcycle key all on seperate rings and used only when needed. Now the wife on teh other hand has this thing that looks like some sort of S&M device with all her keys, remotes, can opener, bottle opener, knife, you name it.
