Kids... gotta love 'em
As we sat down to dinner with our 2 1/2-year-old, we had an unusual item on the menu:
She was eating rice and salmon, while her mommy and daddy were eating rice, nori, and ikura (salmon roe).
For those of you not familiar with the stuff, it's the pea-sized orange eggs from salmon that's frequently used in sushi (and bait).
I give two or three to the kid and she puts one in her hand and looks at me expecting me to name the item. So I do: "Nemo"
She gets all excited and starts pointing to the stuff as my wife walks up to the table saying "Nemo! Nemo!" much to the horror of my wife, since we all just finished watching "Finding Nemo" the day before.
Things like this make having kids worthwhile.
