Kimbo Slice vs. Ray Merer
Saw this a couple of days ago (online, I'd be crazy to pay for it). I never knew Kimbo was only 33. He looks more like he's in his late 40's or early 50's. I guess that's just because of his beard and hair-do. Anyway, more surprisingly, who would have thought it would end up with a guillotine choke win for Kimbo? Not I! That's for sure.
And I'd just like to plug: WAR CROCOP @ UFC 75!

Kimbo can obviously fight, but apart from one fight, I've never seen him matched with anyone that had a clue. It's like his promoters get all the rejects to line up for him. Obviously, if you are any good as a fighter at all, you don't go the route of "underground," so one guy like Kimbo can seem like a monster in that crowd. But in the realm of pro fighters, there are guys that Kimbo will probably never face because he'd get creamed at this stage.

just like in boxing, the promoter sets a new fighter up with what should be an easy win against a respectable but fading opponent. Makes big news for his fighter, but says nothing about the new fighter's abilities when it comes to the other guys he's not fighting. Mercer looked dazed from the opening bell.

just about any ufc heavyweight would lay him out quick. if kimbo fought andrei orlofsky or mirko crocop he'd be ko'd in the first round and probably the first minute.
