Default KISS or not?

Did anyone else who watched the closing ceremonies of the Olympics last night think that when KISS came out that it was actually a group of posers lip synching... or am I the only one? I know that Peter Criss isn't in the band anymore, but, I didn't think that any of them looked the same.

Yes indeed I did see that as well.

I'm pretty sure 95% of that show was synched. I have a habit of being very critical of live events..and especially lip syncing.

Kiss is dead to me.

I don't want to bring that camel toe thread back...but friggen Paul Stanley again.

No, I'm serious, I don't think that it was them up there. Maybe it was and they've all had plastic surgery or something.

Not that I'm a big KISS fan or anything, I just thought it was weird.

They ahd a story in the paper about lip synching. All the acts are lip synching. Even the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is lip synching. Due to the size ofthe stadium and the acoustics, they had to have all the acts lip synch in order to get the sound out of the speakers correctly.

Yea, I know that they were lip synching, that was obvious.

My point is, I don't think that the people up on that stage were really the guys from KISS, i.e. Ace Freely, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley... They just didn't look like them to me, it looked like they had some actors or something painted up in "KISS" make-up. Maybe I've seen too many conspiracy theory shows lately...

Maybe the guy on stage stayed at a Holiday Inn?

But seriously, I know what you mean. It seemed like they were lip-syncing. Their playing didn't seem to match the music either. I was watching the lead guitar playing and trying to correspond it w/ the music and it didn't fit... It seemed like they were just a bunch of guys just posing. There weren't alot of close-ups of the band, either.

Working in the entertainment industry, about half a year ago I had the chance to site manage a KISS concert.
Before then I actually liked some KISS songs.
All I can say is that they sucked ass live. Paul Stanley was so drug fvcked that 2 guys had to carry him up on stage where he rocked around and then they had to carry him off.
It's probably better that they were lip syncing, if they weren't everyone would realize just how far over the hill they are.
The next day I did Alice Cooper at the same venue, and he rocked.
