BOTTOM LINE is: Kobe Should NOT have even had to admit that he committed adultery on a grand scale, consensual sex, married or not, is not a crime, but since the DNA showed there was sexual activity, he had to come clean infront of everyone, which I found not fair.. The District Attorney says he has strong evidence, but other than he said/she said, and DNA (which can't be proven if it was forced sex or consensual sex), IMO, I don't think they have much of a case to get him locked up.

Here's my take on everything about this topic:
1. Kobe did have sex with her...he admitted it.
2. It was most likely consensual.
3. Vanessa doesn't want to give up her current lifestyle so she supports him 100%. I saw her yellow lamborghini in a magazine.
4. Michael Jordan is considered the "best basketball player in the world,ever." and was also a KNOWN adulterer AND gambler. It's not going to be different with Kobe. Kobe's just the current and hottest target RIGHT NOW. This will eventually die down once the press finds the next hot story.
5. The Lakers will be the 2004 NBA Champions. Nuff said.

he is smart to come out before the trial and state that he did have sex with her. otherwise, it will look bad on him, when it is leaked that he did have sex.. and he will really look guilty....
