get the marinades from the korean store, add your own fresh garlic, and most importantly, ADD A BOTTLE OR TWO OF COKE (not diet coke) into the mix and you'll be ready to go.

Never tried that.... but sounds good.

Buy your meat pre-marinaded from a Korean Market.

DO NOT buy Kalbi/Galbi from ie Ralphs etc....

If all else fails, go with Ckit's advice and get a Korean girlfriend.

It's worth noting if you bought some lame piece of meat with no marbling, Coke is an amazing cure-all.

mingster is correct.
a can of coke is the key here.

also, put a VERY SMALL piece of kiwi in it too.
it makes the meat soft like ones in the restaurants.
but careful, it has to be SMALL otherwise you'll ruin it.

I don't know about Kiwifruit and Korean spareribs, but you're looking at using a fruit with citric acid to tenderize the meat (the acid in Coke has similar properties); so, it would seem to me one thin (but not paper thin) slice will probably give you enough juice to loosen a decent amount of ribs.

Kiwi, Soda, LOTS of sugar, and soy sauce. Maybe some garlic, green onions, and onions.

Now I'm hungry.
