I thought they were just OK, until yesterday. I had one right of the belt. They used a stick to pick it up. The HOT original glazed doughnut just melted in my mouth. Unreal. I went back today to get more. I am sure there are better doughnuts out there, but for now, these will do fine. I think they are building some Krispy Kremes in NJ soon.

PCLoadLetter, I could kick you for resurrecting this thread! I fought the urge for KK's for almost a week when it was first introduced, and now I have to do it again? And I'm on a diet now too... arrggghhh!

I live down the street from one, supposdly the first one on the West Coast (La Habra, CA) and when it first opened, there was at least 1/2hour wait for doughnuts. On saturday nights, after dinnertime, the line swelled to over an hour! I can't believe someone would wait that long for doughnuts. Anyways, they are good, but just too sweet for my taste, I prefer the old-fashioned kind at those hole in the wall places. My friends love krispy kreme, its insane. I saw my friend eat LITERALLY 3 dozen orignial glazed. 36 DOUGHNUTS! And this was consistant, not like he took a break or anything, pretty much in one hour's time. Oh, and this guy was piss drunk at the time. Hahaha....

He's 6'2" about 250lbs. He does work out regularly, remember, he ate those doughnuts when he was piss drunk. And when i say that, i mean, he could barely walk, it looked like he was in a trance putting doughnut after doughnut into his mouth. Regardless, he's pretty buff, works out 3 times a week, and can bench press over 350+lbs!

I really don't like KKs. Way too much fat and the icing is too sweet and there is too much. I can't get through one without feeling ill. I'll take a good ol' Canadian donut anyday (Tom Horton, Country Style, Coffee Time, whatever). You americans with your lattes and your krispy kremes don't know donuts.

I'm on business in Kansas City and just had my first experience with KKs. I agree way too sweet. They are just a donut.
