Go 76ers, in my opinion this is a MUST win. If they lose this one, they will lose in 5. If they win, it is anybody's series.

Trust me, there'll be plenty of Shaq. Let's not forget Kobe too. Maybe one can be stopped with double and triple coverage, but you can't do it on both guys.

As long as Kobe and Shaq stay together, I don't see them losing for awhile. They will probably bring the Lakers many more titles. There's not a team in the league that can beat them. No team has a center that can stop or even contain Shaq. I am very surprise the Sixers are doing so well against them, after seeing the Lakers destroy the Spurs. Although, Cookie Monster (our local sports radio station calls Motombo this b/c he sounds like the sesame street character) is playing Shaq well. I thought the Spurs would do much better against them.

Now the hard part is up to Jerry West. He has to keep Kobe and Shaq together. There's always critics that are going to say well, Kobe had Shaq, Jordan didn't have anyone. (Pippen was okay, look at him struggling in Portland) I think this will make Kobe want to prove how great a player he is by wanting to go to a different team (after winning a few more titles).

Go Mavericks.

I don't think it's going to be that hard to keep Kone and Shaq together. After this year, Kobe has done a lot of growing up and has seen that he doesn't have to force his game. It's much easier for him now. He knows that if he stays with Shaq, many more championships await.

Lakers dynasty has started with Kobe and Shaq.. In my opinion, they r stronger that the Bulls of the 90's since the Bulls lack someone in the low post--- a center.. Anyway i would luv to see the sixers win tonite's game..

Actually Kupchak is now the general manager. I'm not sure what West does now. Kobe and Shaq will stay together as long as the team continues to do well. Why fix something if it isn't broken. As for the comparison with the Bulls, Lakers have a better team personel wise. However, I don't think the Lakers are as efficient and effective as the Bulls yet. Those guys were a well tuned machine. They would D up big time and just dominate teams. The Lakers are not as consistent as the Bulls at this point in time, but you can see that they're getting much better.

I think Jerry West is now just a consultant to the team. He still chats with Shaq and Kobe and has great influence over both of them. There was an article in the paper about him talking to Kobe and telling him stories about the egos of the past great laker teams. The Kareem and Magic times as well as previous other times when two stars had to get along.
