Lawsuit threat for Slander
I had a picket fence installed several months ago by a very small, local company, and was not very impressed with the craftsmanship of it.
I posted pictures of the fence install on my webshots page to document how it looks.
It now turns out that when you search for this company on Google - one of the first hits it gives, is a link to my Webshots account showing the pictures.
The fence company noticed this, and left a voicemail on my phone, telling me that if I do not remove the pictutes within 48hours, they will sue me for slander.
All of the pictures are true to life, and none of the comments under the pictures contain false information.
Do they have a case in any shape, or are my actions 100% legal?
My Webshot site.

If they sue you for libel - written defamation - they have a better chance of winning. A poor chance, perhaps, but better than none.

I would leave everything as it is. If they want to take you to court because they are upset, then the burden of proof will be on them to prove that what you are diong is slander and malicious. I bet they are just trying to punk you around a bit by throwing words around like that. Don't sweat it.
Actually - I have more pictures to add to the site. Do you think he would like that..? When he checks it out tomorrow to see if I removed the site, he finds out instead, I have added more pictures.
Several weeks ago, we had a storm, and a section actually blew off. When I inspected it, it only had 2 nails holding it to the posts.
Im just glad it was bright enough out in the morning, and I happened to notice it before I let my dogs out.
If I missed it, the dogs would have been long gone. Keep in mind, the fence has only been installed for several months now!
