Unfortunately, the people that don't get it probably never will unless they get the opportunity to visit and see first hand that America is only a small part of the world.

I've been to europe, its a dead place with nice paitings. That's why in the last decade europe produced *ZERO* net private sector jobs.
I love that comment about less freedom. During the 80's the british governemnt decide that the press would no longer be able to write stories about the IRA. It would never happen in America
The Bill of Rights stands at *THE* benchmark of individual freedom.

Playlife, those of us who went to Lime Rock to see the Speedvision Touring Challenge had a chance to meet and ask Derrick Bell questions.
Unfortunately I didn't realize Bell's connection to the new Bentley. Looking back, I would have liked to hear what he had to say about the car.
So I guess I'll root for a good showing for Bentley. I don't have much of a real rooting interest, but I'm sure I'll waste some time in front of the tube watching the action.

BTW - I beleive the Venice in Florida existed before both the Venice in Italy and the Venice in Cali, but I could be wrong.

To get back on the subject, I was watching Speedvision the other day about the Le Mans.....I heard they minimized one of the crest on a 'hill' to prevent cars from launching airborne. I watched the footage of a past race where one of the cars literally took off into the air! Holy s!it! I can just see the racer thinking 'need more downforce....!'
To the thread;
I apologize in advance for going off topic, but this is really inappropriate. It is fortunate that the quoted insiteful response below is NOT representative of Americans as a whole.
