Default Learn car salesmen secrets!

Basically, a person went undercover as a salesperson at a couple of car dealerships.

After reading this (LOOOONG READ) I have gone to a few dealerships, and it is funny to see just how many things he reported that they actually used on me.

http://netscape.edmunds.com/advice/buying/...62/article.html

I found it very intertaining and good to know.

Oh and, sorry if it is a repost, I have not seen it on here.

I wonder what crap stock brokers, doctors, lawers, priests, ins agents etc. get away with with that no one would dare "go under cover" and report like that.

good stuff though

Yes it is very long, took me forever to read. I can't help but to laugh to myself when they try to use those things on me...

Franky, I have found that it is the customer that doesn't tell the whole truth more than the sales man, there are of course , some people out there still from the old school, but if I tried ANY of those tatics on any of my customers, I wouldn't have a job anymore...if you have to mislead someone to buy a car, you're in the wrong business

Well, their still are some good sales men out there, not all of them suck. Some people did use a lot of those "tricks" on me when I went in. And you own an S2000, of course your a great salesman

I thought it was funny when I went in to look for some S2000's and they did not have any, so what did they do? They tried to sell me an accord, and when I said no to that? They tried to sell me an ELEMENT!
