Yes, always lease but only if you are drive-your-bank-account type living in Scottsdale, AZ or Dallas, TX.

crazydude, it sounds like you are NOT a candidate for a lease.

Leasing is good if:

1. You want more car than you can afford.
2. You own a business and can write off the lease (pay it with pre tax dollars)
3. You like always having new cars and plan on changing cars every 3/4 years no matter what.

The standard arguement is that at the end of a lease you are left with nothing. You are paying for the use of a car. If can be adventageous if you buy a car and the residual at the end of the lease is significantly less than the value of the car. You could flip it then, but that would be a gamble. a lot of companies are dropping the lease programs because they found that at the end of term the residuals weren't adding up and the cars were worth significantly less that the term of the lease paid.

Good luck.

If you are planning on only staying in the car for a year or two, I say lease it - the depreciation will be greater than your lease costs.

Like everyone has said, there are pros and cons to leasing. U need to do your research and determine which is right for you - we can't tell you.

I have a lease on my ferrari enzo. I pay $2000 a month and have a 100 mile a year lease. It's cool though. I live downtown only 2 blocks from the night club i like to go to.
