Yup, I was a manager for AF in college. There is most definitely a hiring bias (guys and girls). I'll leave it at that, since it's not an official corporate policy.

At AF you cant wear anything over the size "L" large. If you do they wont hire you. Thats policy.

 

Hehe, no problem. . . my thread was started with the intention of making fun of them. This one is more of a tribute (or at least was intended to be).

Shift - Yeah, we were told to hire people who could "display the AF ideals - fun, cool kids, who live the type of lifestyle we're looking to convey." Translation - "NO FATTIES" The only problem I had with this policy is that we ended up hiring a lot of lazy kids, who only wanted to hang around the front so they could hit on guys/girls coming into the store. Or, they just hid in the back and stole clothes.

I got the job from a friend of mine who was a recruiter for AF. . . so I know a lot of the dirty little hiring secrets. By the way, his was the best job ever. He basically drove up and down the east coast visiting college campuses. He showed up on campus, bought a ton of food at a local bar, and "interviewed" candidates. Basically, he hung out with undergrads at bars and decided if people were "cool" enough to work at the store as an Assistant Manager. Not a bad living for a 22-25 year old.

 

MK&AO are way skanky looking ugmos.

The SNL show they did was HORRIBLE.
