Keep in mind that site is from an insurance company and they have a definite bias.

99 44/100% of your life you don't need life insurance so the only real issue is timing!

what kind of policy do you have? Some life insurance policies pay out after a number of years, so they can be a sort of investment program as much as insurance. It doesn't make sense to pay on a life insurance policy for years, then stop before it pays out without getting at least part of your investment back. If the work plan is cheap, it might make sense to put money into it as well, rather than instead of.

You might be able to lower your premiums by lowering your coverage on the State Farm policy. Your agent would probably be worth talking to.

Ok, yeah my policy with State Farm is a savings account of sorts. I can barrow against it if i want. but i have to pay that back over time.
