I've read on a bottle (Not Listerine brand) that you're supposed to do it before, but I'm after because I use Peroxyl.

Don't use it at all. Alcohol dries out your mouth. As soon as the mouthwash smell goes away you've got stink mouth. Not so good.

Try sugarless gum instead

I didn't mean sugarless gum exclusively

Floss, brush, brush the toungue and go about your day. Sugarless gum is for after the fresh feeling wears off or after meals. The chewing keeps your saliva flowing and constantly washes away the bad stuff. And the gum smell lasts much longer than the flavor. Plus, chewing keeps your jaws in shape and helps prevent round-face

Another question, when you use listerine, do you just slosh it around in your mouth or do you gargle it in your throat? I usually do both, but I always accidently swallow a little bit when I gargle.
