I am working on the Budget for where I psuedo work, and we have employees that have been here since the mid-to late 60's. That is 35+ years !!! HOLY SHIT!!!!

Poor bastards are only making $35k in the factory to boot!!!! We Manufacture Leaf Springs for heavy duty trucks.... I cannot imagine busting my ass in a super hot factory for 35 ing years to be making $35k.

I worked in two divisions of GE for a total of 27.75 years.

 

16 Yeras in the same company and I'm VERY close to leaving.

 

Longest I've been with a company is 3 years, I'm working on my second longest stint right now and its been 2.5

I look at our enterprise directory and I see people who have been working for 40 years...ex-AT&T folks.

These guys have been in bell labs so long they remember the first IC

So far, I have stayed the longest at one employer was way back in jr. high/high school. It was my first "employed" job and it was at Burger King. I was there for 2.5 years.

I have yet to stay at a "professional" employer for over 1.5 years. I may be doing that at Allstate if the market stays the way it is.
