LOL, like everything else i do, i have to explain myself. 
the LCD on the headset is for me to check the status of calls. here the situation. i sometimes left the phone in my bag, and then i put the bag in the trunk. i leave the BT headset in the car when i do a quick run to the store, when i come back to the car, i would like to be able to look at the BT headset, and see if i have any missed calls or messages. Yes, that has happened before (somebody, actually my wife, called during that time), and yes, i am that lazy (to get the phone from the trunk), and yes, i am that important
and btw, no, i don't wear a BT heatset ALL THE TIMES even when i am not on a call, i am not that important.
