Default looking for good deal on car rental in Portland

i am going to Portland for vacation for 4 days over the weekend

so any good deal on car rental? looking to pick the car up at the airport.

please point me to the right direction, thanks.

Hell, any travel agent/consolidator should be able to cut you a deal, so long as you get the plane tickets AND car rental packaged together. . . then, if you had a hotel, you can stand to really shop it around.

www.priceline.com I've gotten cars as low as 10 bucks/day and then of course it's the economy and they are out of them so i get a better one for no additional fee.

Whatever you do, don't rent one online. I'm pretty sure no rental place has set fees. The employee (or at least a manager/supervisor) can give any price they deem reasonable. The price advertised on a website should be viewed as nothing more than a negotiating point.

The prices I have discovered are pretty flexible especially when you call them. The two places that I think are priced decently are AVIS or Thrifty. AVIS is located in the airport. Where Thrifty is located off site about 2-3miles away (down Airport Way) I'm pretty sure there's a shuttle that takes you there. I live in Portland and that where I mostly rent my cars from; Thrifty and sometimes AVIS. Hope that helps.
