Default looking for LCD or Plasma

i'm looking for a flat panel that has a separate unit to house all the inputs. the best i found so far was the sharp 37 that they stopped making so far and the best price is 2300. what other brands have the separate media system?

anyone here have a wall mount that can rotate and swivel? i want to be able to pull it and make it face another wall if i wanted to watch it from another room or angle.

I do this kind of thing for a living, so I can be of some help. What size TV are you trying to get? In the 37-42" range, there are a host of TV's that would do the job nicely. You can also get a dual-arm cantilever mount for any flat panel TV that will allow you to position it as you wish. These brackets are VERY expensive ($600-$800!). You can either respond to this thread or send me a PM, and I'd be happy to help you!

I think it would be cheaper to make your own bracket for these things. Although I have never done it, nor have the ability to do so, I have no room to talk lol.

This is the one i use in my living room, lets me change the angle to 90 degrees either direction with a 50 inch plasma.

Also, the Pioneers have a seprate media center.

In addition to the Pioneer line of plasma a few Sony plasma models have a separate media receiver. Only the high end models in the Sony lineup has that feature. If all you need is a "unit to house all the inputs" then maybe you should look into a A/V receiver instead. Most newer receivers have enough I/O to act as a "switcher" for all you video sources (DVD, VCR, STB, PS2, etc.) I have a Pioneer A/V receiver (1014) that has more inputs/outputs (component outputs) than I will ever need.

I am in search of a wall mount also although I don't need the swivel/pullout featrue. I just need something that can be mounted close and flat with the wall. Sanus or Peerless are two brands I have come across in my search.

ok, i guess a better question would be, anything in the 37" range, like the 2004 sharp aquos model? i can't find those anywhere but ebay...

i really like to have a separate media receiver, but if a a/v switch would do, would i be happy with that?

I suggest you take a look at the Westinghouse 37" LCD. I took a look at one and it looked great.

1920x1040 (1080P) resolution
2 DVI inputs along with component, composite, and VGA

$2000 or $1700 if you shop around
