What is a work study exactly, how does it benefit me, and is the pay somewhat decent?

from what i understand, you work on campus doing things like working at a help desk and stuff like that. my ex did it and got paid pretty well. but i believe they put a cap on how much she could make because her family is pretty well off.

I worked for a while as a bellman at a hotel. Money, tips, and study while not doing anything. EASY money.

Yes, work study is basically going to be a job around campus (library or something similar) and they will be giving you a specific amount (I think at my school it was like $900/semester).

alright, in all seriousness go get a job at a *good* bar. i made KILLER tips and there are plenty of fringe benefits to boot.

i can remember days where i cleared $1k around the holidays on a 12-16 hour shift. normal weekly take-home cash for me working fri-sun was 6-700.

 

I did hotel front desk too... Not only did I have time to complete my homework, I would get invited to party with some of the guests...
