LOST is back!
Now the question for me is, will Ben be counted as one of the Oceanic 6 even though he was not on the plane?
And is it too soon to assume that Desmond is also one? He was in the helicopter but has not been featured in any "future" scenes.
Call me a sucker, but I love the show. When you are open to something with a science fiction premise but have very creative people write it for adults, there is so much freedom for the plot to be intriguing.

ahhhh yes thanks vader1 i remember now..... what was the deal with the beacon with the timer in it. the one sent from the ship was like an hour ahead of the one the guy set up on the island. i'm guessing some sort of time warp that surrounds the island?
dammit i hate waiting.....

I am sure the will explain it at some point. Or maybe they won't given the history of the show.........
Before last night, I was thinking that the island had some type of time and space abilities, then in the repeat of the last weeks show, where they have written clues that pop up, they referred to a German scientist whose field was time and space, so I think I'm on to something. This could explain a lot. ie. What if Penny's father, the very rich guy (or maybe a government) is keeping the island secret while they research the powers the island has. Could explain the time warp with the clocks in the rocket last night, the polar bear showing up in the desert, the people who don't age, people who show up on the island (Lockes father) and a bunch of other stuff. Ben is there to run the show and make sure nobody leaves the island. Maybe when he let Michael and Walt go, his "boss" got pissed and sent a team to find him and knock him off.
I doubt that Ben or Desmond would be included in the 6, since they weren't on the flight.

Is it me or did the writers play it like Jack was Kate's son until the end? Boy that had me confused for a while. So Jack and Kate had a baby. Or is it Sawyer's? She did say she wasn't pregnant with Sawyer's baby but could've been BS. And the kid did have blonde hair. Hmmmm... And didn't the kid seem mentally handicapped? That's probably why the lawyer thought that putting him on the stand would've helped the case. And Jack doesn't want to meet the baby, and Kate said she knows why. But is it because the baby is not normal, or is it because it's Sawyer's? And could the kid be person in the small coffin that Jack went to see at the end of last season? He's the only character around that could fit in there. And Jack said that eight people survived the crash, but there are only six in the Oceanic 6. Why did he say eight? And what happened to everyone else? When the black guy that went to visit Hugo at the nuthouse asked if "they" were still alive, was he referring to the other survivors? The Others? Or the people looking for Ben? DAMMIT! So many loose ends!!!!
And by the way, where the hell are the Others?
