Default Lost my wallet tonight

Have you ever done this? $50 down the drain. I was on the Metro going to see my friend's band play in DC. I got off, and within 10 minutes I realized I left my wallet on the seat. I specifically remember taking it out when I took out my bberry to kill time.

With no ID and no cash, I decided to go home. The station manager took down my info and gave me a card to catch the train back.

Trying to rationalize why this happened, (I think like this...) and I can only take comfort in thinking maybe it happened for a reason, maybe something bad would have happened later.......who knows.

Has anyone got their wallet back, or anyone been a victim of identity theft?

My wallet fell out of my pocket while I sat at an outside table at a bar in NYC. It was about 30mins after leaving the bar that I realised it was gone. I went back, and the bartender had my wallet, nothing missing. I gave him half the cash in it and went home happy.

It would probably take about $200 in my wallet before I was concerned at all about the cash. I would be much more flustered about the headache of all the cards liscense etc.

About 8 years ago I found a handbag and contacted the owner to return it. It was a school day and she knew it yet she managed to show up 45mins late and had her maid let me in and left me sitting around while she spoke arabic to her friend in front of my mother and I and then gave me a $50 reward. The bag and purse were both leather orotons and there was lots of makeup, perfume, credit cards and probably about $800 in cash.

I really regretted being so nice to this rude women so now I take it on a case by case basis. Even if they were arseholes I'd probably just take out the money and tell them I found it that way though, kinda naming my own spotters fee rather than stealing

Hope you get the wallet back , if a decent moral person found it, don't worry, just check with the bus station, and they should have it.. Of course if it got into the wrong hands, well what can you do, it's only plastic cards and paper money.. just make sure to cancel all your cards and go through that process

I agree with what the others have said, but best of luck getting it back.
