Are we all living beings? Do most things on this earth have features that are requires for survuval? eye, lungs, hearts, bladder, etc...

There is this pig, a happy pig, has a happy family of pigs. They eat together, they sleep together, and they have fun together.

Now the father just went to the slaughter house.

He is now packaged meat at your local grocery store.

Do you think that package of meat is missing his family right now or do you think its jsut sitting there, at the meat department at the store?

love you say? maybe its just how me assimilate and name that familiar chemical reaction out brain has.

oh yeah, i think we turn to dirt and it feels like when you have a dreamless sleep where you dont feel Shiet.

From a christian perspective...

God created us out of love...it can't go away...

someday (soon) we will find proof of life outside our of tiny neighborhood we call the solar system and it will all become very evident that tunnel vision with a mirror at the end is quite comfortable

I try not to worry about this serious stuff. I got enough to worry about....like which Eagles CD I should bring with me for my morning commute. Or when they're gonna bring back Laguna for a new season.

Way back in 1999, a christian I knew once stated that the world was going to end when the calendar clicked over to the year 2000. He was adamant and his christian buddies also blindly believed this garbage because this is the BullSH*T that their "pastor" (or whatever) brainwashed them with.

I tried to bet him $500 that the world wasn't going to end, for some reason he didn't take the bet, which doesn't make sense because what is the point of believing if you don't follow through with your convictions?

Well whatever, it blows my mind that people will allow others to dictate their beliefs and throw their own personal thought out the window.

We die, game over.

He's one of the "pick and choose" type of "Christians" who selectively believes things written in the Bible. Date-setting is heretical. Don't know where he pulled that one out from.

Uh, what soul? You mean that un-thing? Hmmm. I'm wondering how my point escaped you, I mean, really, not trying to be a jerk. If there is a soul, it's certainly not a thing, it'd be an un-thing, and I'm sorry to break it to you, but love is something things do, specifically, human beings. What on earth would give any reasonable human being the idea that something with no substance can remember a human emotion?

Brilliance, utter brilliance .

S2Kguy,

I do not think you are a jerk at all. I see where you are coming from.

I also think that I am a fairly reasonable human being. And I believe that I have a soul (I do realize that you do not believe this). I hope that my soul (that I believe exists) remembers love. Does this make me unreasonable or foolish? I think not. You probably see me as an unreasonable fool. BTW, I hope to see you on the other side so that you can tell me that I was right and I can tell you that I told you so.
