sounds like a good way to dramatically shorten the useful life of your top and the power motor.

I have put my top up and down at stoplights with the engine running, one click on the e brake, not moving in my s2000. I have a rental mustang conv and I put the top up and down while driving in the parking lot, just one click on the e brake. Not recomended though.

FYI, I know an S2Ker who put the top down while moving 6-7mph (parking brake was up 1 click) and he totally regrets it now cause the top is all stretched out and is very very hard to latch cause it's so tight. He took it to a dealer to get it fixed and it didn't help much, it's still a pain to latch up.

I know my e-brake has to be all the way up to lower the top... I assume this is the same with all S2k's

I thought so too, but apparently one click is enough!

It wasn't a Miata, it was a Z3. Going 60 and putting hte top down is pretty crazy.

I bet the tops on the Camaros probably don't fit that well anyway. How much more damage can this guy do.

That's different indeed. It's easy on a Miata because it's such a small top and it's manual, no worry about breaking electroic parts
