I witnessed something like this live a couple of weeks ago. 5 lane highway (each direction). Guy in an Rx300 lost control trying to miss something in the road. He went horizontal (nose of car pointed toward the median) across 3 or 4 lanes. Jerked the wheel some how turned the car around and shot back across 5 lanes toward the shoulder. Came back around and wound up in the middle lane of the highway. Meanwhile the entire time his tires were screeching and cars were zooming past him at about 70mph (65 speed limit). I was behind him and in front of him before I knew and was watching from my rearview thinking he was TOAST. Not sure how he didn't get hit it was amazing.
