Default M5 Killer?

MG has unleashed what it hopes will be an M5 killer. The 500hp, rear wheel driver looks very interesting.

Interesting.

IMO, that may well be faster than an M5 but damn is it ugly. Looks like a riced out Daewoo to me.

Of course, more importantly than all that is the fact that MG doesn't sell cars here in the States so my opinions are about as relevant as tits on boar hog.

Too bad it's ugly and contrived....appearance wise. The headlamps look like they were pilfered off of a Chrysler 300M and the body claddings and add-ons off of a Evo Lancer.

M5 for me please.....

How do they compare price wise.
I suspect the MG will give more smiles per pound.

Looks like half TT and half Integra. No uglier than either one of them. Plus, 400hp will make many show up to date the ugly girl!

I think people buy the M5 more than just for pure speed. They are marketed as the ultimate driving machine for executives right? Sure it's cool to drive a race car but some people may be turned off by the aggressive looks. The M5 gives you a more universal image.
