[QUOTE]We commissioned Karen Armstrong and Richard Dawkins to respond independently to the question "Where does evolution leave God?" Neither knew what the other would say. Here are the results.
Karen Armstrong says we need God to grasp the wonder of our existence
Richard Dawkins has been right all along, of course

Nice, very open and unbiased article.
I've had the God Delusion on the backburner for awhile, because its a hard book to read in your spare time in small doses because you forget what you read. Need to get around to finishing it.

Good stuff, another of Dawkins's books, The Selfish Gene, is also really interesting. I believe in evolution but I think we ignore Lamarck's ideas far too often, as well. Our genes hold our potential, but it is our environment that dictates much of our development. I do not believe in god, but I do believe in spirituality; perhaps energy would be a better word. If we are products of our environment, and so many of us "feel" something greater than us is occurring, then there must be something controlling all of this. I believe we are moving closer to that something as creatures of the universe.
