Default Man yells at homeless guy..

I was at a stoplight today and there was a homeless (i assume) guy with a sign (need work or food or money I'm sure- I couldn't read it) off the side of the road. A guy who turned in front of me, coming from the road where the guy was standing opened his window and yelled "Get a f*cking job." It just bugged the shit out of me. I was wishing there was a way I could have words with the guy, but I he was going the other way and I was stuck at the light.

Sure you could say the guy should be trying to work somehow, but the way I look at it, I don't know what caused the guy to be where he is today. Perhaps he has been/is still looking. And anyway, I don't think it's possible to have a zero percent unemployment rate. There will always be some people who cannot find work. Perhaps I'm just a bit of a sucker, but I still feel bad when I see someone in that position. And I realize some of them may be lazy crack-heads and just don't want to work, I'm sure some have tried to better themselves with no luck.

Anyway, that just pissed me off.

Oh, but a little bit later, I saw a hot lady outside a building in Bloomington, Indiana, standing with a short greasy looking guy. As we got closer I realized why- It was John Mellencamp. But apparently he's a real prick, so I refused to be star-struck, like my fiance was.

You just can't win ... Here's something I recently experienced;

I was sitting in an al-fresco dining restaurant with my friend, doing the usual, catching up, chatting, looking at people walk pass while keeping an eye on my S2000.

There comes a bunch of wannabe gangster kids and their girlfriends standing round the street corner acting like champions, common sight but we just ignore them unless they decide to do something stupid like come and touch the car.

A homeless man walks past and stands around them, we weren't really paying attention but next moment you see one of the kids shouting at him, pushing him, edging him for a punch-up. Absolutely lame especially when he's not exactly causing any grief or harm to the kids.

I never like to meddle in peoples' affairs but this one does go a bit far especially if they're just trying to show off to their girlfriends or show like they're some heroes. So we stepped in and called the whole thing off to let the homeless man be on his way.

Talk about ill-bred kids, it's getting from bad to worse. Not that I'm a goodie 2 shoes but this is just downright immoral.

I'm glad you did something. But you're right. Once I was working in DC and we were eating at a Potbelly's outside. A homeless man came up and dug in the trash for some leftover food. The girls I was sitting with from work were like, "Oh god, that is so gross. That totally is ruining my lunch". I was shocked that some bitch could be so heartless. They were twats and I was embarrassed to be sitting with them.

You do realize that the majority of those folks begging at the intersection are not homeless and many of them make hundres of dollars a day tax free....

If you look at them after they get money, they usually dump their loot somewhere so it looks like they haven't got any money.

They're still poor though because they spend all their take on drugs.

That's =F up the bum got yelled at. I don't give beggers money unless they ask... it's like making a donation just giving it to them. If I see the person is sincere, I'll help them out... otherwise, I let them be. Karma follows us all.

I only give these people food but you gotta think the ones that want to work it must be hard with no phone and no address to use and really no reference i mean what the heck are you supposed to put on a application they would just have to wait for a 1 in a 10,000 chance of a bose of a company saying hey wanna have a job

i never give them anything--money or food. by providing "charity" to these guys, you are just perpetuating the system. besides, most of the panhanldings are scams. they purposely make themselves appear destitute just so you will feel sorry for them. don't get me wrong, i'm sure there are some that genuinely need help, but the problem is i cannot tell the difference between the genuine and the scams so therefore i do not feel comfortable giving these guys anything. you don't know how many times i run into the same guys who end up telling me the same story, such as "i'm short 37 cents for a hamburger", blah, blah, blah. i've literally ran into this guy 4 or 5 times and each time it is always 37 cents!! i mean, c'mon, anyone with a brain should know better to mix up the number every now and then...

Some guy asked me for some spare change. I said, "sorry, I only have hundreds"
