Marijuana SHOULD be legal. Do you think it ever will?

Where did you get this info? I believe it is very incorrect. Can you define "significantly"?

1) Marijuana should be legal cuz alcohol and tobacco cigs are legal....

This is a poor argument.... just cuz one drug or substance is legal is poor grounds to make another one legal. This is along the same lines of "well he jumped off the bridge, why shouldn't you/I/whoever."

Are you going to make the argument that prostitution should be legalized everywhere based on supply and demand in a capitalistic society? There are obvious underlying health issues related to this topic as well.

2) Marijuana use leads to use of bigger and harder drugs...

I think this is due more out of the addictive nature of the users, and the legality of the usage than the actual substance. I'm sure the same thing can be said about petty theft, shoplifting, embezzeling and grand theft auto.

3) God made marijuana ....

so that makes it ok and legal? that's a pretty hard argument. Aside from the religious aspects of drug usage and conflicts with society etc that the bible prolly has, are you going to say that at some level there are basic chemical structures that "God" made possible and so therefore should be legal and he endorses to interact on any level with use in society today?

Just some more points..... this is an interesting topic... give me some things to think about and argue.

yeah it should be basically legal to do own your own property....so that cancels out the issue of second hand smoke.

Damn straight... All that I can say is that while anyone can mouth off hundreds of the negative affects of marijuana, there are definitely more negative affects of alcohol. My main feeling is that alcohol is legal, and it is very easy to abuse. When you get drunk you lose all control, and are completely out of it. When you're high, you are in complete control, and are always aware of your surroundings.

Statistics are all good, but I'll stick to experience.
Keep on
