I also like Canon, and my family's bought at least 5 of them over the past few years.

i have a brand new Canon SD500 (7.1 megapixel) still in the box if you're interested. i got it for my ex-bf as an upgrade to his Canon S500 (5.0 megapixel) but he didn't want to upgrade.
so i need to get rid of it. anyway, pm me if interested.

I have a Nikon point & click now, and I've heard good things about Canon - both are good for point and shoot types, but for an SLR type, I hear Canon is the best you can get. I'll be getting a Canon SLR to upgrade my cellular SLR kit soon.
Make sure you hold the XT before you buy it. It's considerably smaller than the old rebel, and some people find they don't like how it feels.
That being said, I'm hoping to sell my rebel and purchase an XT sometime in the near-ish future. The rebel does everything I need it to, but I like to carry my camera around the city (preferably without a strap), so the smaller size of the XT is appealling.

I just got a Nikon D70 with 18-70 and 70-300 Nikkor zoom lenses. I love it.
Do you know the differences between D50 and D70 ?
