Perhaps I misunderstand the meaning of "Divide 8 into 4." My understanding is the answer would be divide 8 into 4 parts, meaning 2, not 0.5. Therefore "divide 200 million into 85 billion" would be 200 million / 85 billion = 0.00235.

But perhaps the "divide X into Y" phrasing isn't really "proper math" and is perhaps up for interpretation.

 

It's up for interpretation, but the standard would lead to 0.5.

 

Please at least get the U.S. Population right. There are presently estimated to be about 306 million Americans.

It is not just math, people are stupid in general. I would say 7 out of 10 people I meet, even college grads, are complete morons. I still think we need a good plague to clean house a little. Put some sars in the flu shots.
