Default Math Question...

So this is the last question of my homework and I cant quit get it. Anyone good at math?

One number is 5 more than another. Four times the smaller number minus the larger number is 37. What are the two numbers?

14 and 19, respectively

(4*14)=56-19=37.

Damn it! Beat me to it!.

a=b +5
4b-a = 37

4b-b-5= 37

I suspect that they're called linear equations just about everywhere.
