Some people just have brains and know not to say yes.
Amen.

I've heard of cases where someone refused to let the cop search the car. The crooked cop called for a K9, and the K9 officer claimed that the dog could smell something, so they went ahead and searched the car. They didn't find anything, but you can't argue with the cop once he claims that the dog found something...FTP...

I've never had a cop ask to search any of my cars, any of the times I've been pulled over. I kind of wish one of them would ask so I could have a calm discussion with them about why they think it's an appropriate course of action since I have no record, don't do drugs (or don't buy/transport them, at least).

I just think it'd be interesting!

I was asked twice. Both times I was carrying a crap load of instruments, and they didn't believe I was a musician.

I let them search both times. Highly entertaining.

was lost in a sh!tty part of ft worth one night when i was 16, never done drugs, dont plan on ever doing drugs. Was pulled over for 'not turning my indicator on 100ft before the turn' he asked to search, i said sure, had nothing to hide, he tore my car APART, didnt find anything, seemed pretty pissed that he didnt find anything, didnt even make eye contact when he left my car and said 'have a good night'

later, i was pulled over again by another cop, i had told him i was already pulled over and searched by another officer, was lost, asked him where the interstate was, he didnt even ask for a license or anything, he was just like oh ok the freeway is over in this way, have a good night!
