Default McD & Olympics

anyone else think it's beyond ironic that McD is the major sponsor for the athletic olympics?

Cool

Please... have you seen Phelp's morning menu????

From his autobiography:
3 Sandwiches of fried eggs, lettuce, tomato, cheese, fried onions, and mayo. One omelete, a bowl of grits, 3 slices of french toast with powdered sugar, and wash that down with 3 chocolate chip pancakes.

any large corporation jumps on the olympics sponsor wagon.

Coke aint all that wholesome either

McD's has come a long way in recent years...much better than Hardees or Checkers/Rally's for sure

by ordering what, water? I don't think many athletes wake up saying this chicken biscuit breakfast is gonna help me win gold today...They are the major sponsor b/c one they have the money and two they are not the largest "american fast food" chain in the country that title belongs to kfc...this is purely marketing to spur their growth, nothing out of the ordinary
no kidding. isn't that the definition of sponsoring?? in america, at least, sponsoring = advertising.

i guess you haven't been to McD's lately. they have grilled chicken sandwiches, salads, fruit juices, etc. Do most athletes dine there?? probably not. the bottom line is that virtually all restaurants, including 5 star restaurants, can be deemed unhealthy. it really depends on what you order.

i simply saying that it's insidious for young children watching, aspiring to be great athletes one day, but seeing mcd ads at the same time. what s a kid to think?

that's where parents and coaches come in. a kid with hopes and dreams alone will not automatically achieve his/her dreams. guidance plays a big part in a child's future and success.
