I noticed this too, but the first thought I had was that this could be a good sign. Here's why. Usually the system slows down because of one of two things, or both: much more bandwith being used at given times, and/or too much use of available memory.

If it's a bandwith issue, that could mean that we have more contributors to the board, more requests to view the board, or more "overhead" to show for each request made (ie. all the graphics, the animations, the colors, or what I like to call the 'fluff'). If this is the case, I think that this is great. Membership is growing, exposure is growing, and/or the board is becoming more robust in features (and the members are using the features).

Now if it's the second issue, then maybe the server that is hosting this site needs some more memory, or some old stuff needs to be cleaned off. If the server needs more memory, we should look at it as S2000online.com service as an expansion. If there's too much "old stuff", we should be happy there is old stuff. . .think about in relation to how long S2000online.com has been up.

In any case, just think grey clouds with Silver linings!!!

We are in the process of building a new server for the site. We have out grown the current one.

Actually the reason it's been slow is that my GF is away so there's no one to drag me away from it.

Sorry for hogging all the bandwidth
