Maybe the person wasn't a real police officer and was just flashing a badge at you....like a security guard badge etc.

Yup, 911 asked me if it was a 'real' cop badge or a security one. I told them I have no idea, it could be plastic and from toys 'r us for all I could tell. But after she passed yelling my name at me - I figured it was real and called back 911 to update what happened.

Part of the problem is we have no idea what area she is a cop in. Could be Toledo, or any of the suburbs around the area. Guess I'm gonna head down to the local station by my house come monday and see what I can do to make sure I'm protected. What kinda scares me about filling a report - she may 'let it go' untill some heat comes down. I don't want to provoke a fight - I may win the battle, but in the long run (with my lifestyle) she could win the war.

While I think you should file a report to try to protect yourself you didn't help matters by giving her the finger. Maybe, just maybe it would have been all over after you passed her and she flashed her badge. Still, any cop that's stupid enough to brake check a car and risk causing a crash has no business on the road and needs to be reported. Still, it's going to be your word against hers and if you're living a lifestyle that could get you in hot water sooner or later this could cause it to be sooner. Good luck.

that is really messed up dude! i would have sped up real quick and jumped off an exit real quick and she wouldn't have been able to follow b/c her crappy handling van

i have a story like that, just wasn't a cop following me, but they showed up ......coming back from Ocean City, MD over the summer my brother was with me. we were cruising top down, no worries, this ML500 Benz with blacked out windows starts cutting everybody off. he did that same type of lane change that cop did. it was so bad a couple cars went off on the shoulder a little bit. when this asshat wouldn't let up my brother mooned them (going like 60mph!) so then this guy starts following me right on my ass, within inches at times. i would speed around but he would catch up. this crap went on for about an hour or so (freaking rediculous). as soon as we got over the bay bridge this guy blared his horn and then all of a sudden like 3-4 cops come flyin up from behind. this asshole called the cops about my brother mooning them he got a ticket and they said my taillights weren't working right, and gave me a $70 fine for that.

wierd night to say the least but luckily it wasn't worse

Meh, I don't really hide it. I'm a ... smoker /cough ... Just don't need to get that can of worms out in the open if she really got to be a dick about things. Some peeps like beer, I prefer a doobie. Different folks different strokes

When you make your report make sure to leave out the part where you're speeding, and the fact that she was in the left lane doing the speed limit.
